Kao Collins, a supplier of industrial inkjet ink, has announced at Pack Expo the release of two ink formulations for HP printing technology. SIGMA+ and Pitch Black meet EuPIA and REACH SVHC compliance standards and are non-CMR and PFAS-Free, demonstrating Kao Collins’ commitment to sustainability and regulatory excellence.

“Kao Collins takes a proactive approach to product development, ensuring our solutions are prepared to meet and exceed new regulatory demands. We aim to provide our customers with high-performance products that stay ahead of evolving standards and best practices,” says Chris Rogers, VP at Kao Collins. “The legacy of innovation continues with SIGMA+, the latest addition to the SIGMA family of solvent inks. SIGMA+ redefines inkjet printing with its exceptional durability, extended decap time, and superior performance across various non-porous substrates.”

Rogers adds, “The newest member of our SIGMA family pushes boundaries with its unmatched durability, longer decap time, and superior performance. It helps companies achieve greater efficiency by minimizing downtime and waste while delivering higher-quality prints.”

Pitch Black makes a leap forward for printing on porous materials such as lumber, mill coat, uncoated paper, and corrugated cardboard. Its aqueous dyepigment formulation aims to deliver outstanding optical density, living up to its name. SIGMA+ and Pitch Black boast a 16-hour decap time, advancing usability and operational efficiency. This prolongs open time, reducing printhead downtime, maintenance, and cleaning efforts.

“At Kao Collins, we believe that designing inks is about more than just performance – it’s about making life better by contributing to a cleaner, safer environment,” concludes Rogers.
